Nestled in the heart of Jersey City, Rinconcito Copaneco offers a genuine taste of Honduran cuisine that both comforts and excites. This unassuming, cash-only spot is a treasure for anyone craving authentic flavors from Central America, especially for breakfast and lunch. What truly sets Rinconcito Copaneco apart are its freshly made baleadas—thick, warm flour tortillas filled generously with refried beans, cheese, eggs, tender steak strips, and a hint of sour cream. Ordering the “todo” baleada is like sinking into a hearty, satisfying embrace of textures and robust flavors that linger pleasantly on the palate.
Beyond the famed baleadas, the menu boasts standout dishes like the carne asada platter, sizable and rich enough to share, accompanied by traditional sides such as chimol (a fresh Pico de Gallo), fried beans, and tortillas that elevate every bite. Pupusas and tamales here also command attention with their delicate preparation and authentic ingredients, making each dish a celebration of Honduran culinary traditions.
The atmosphere at Rinconcito Copaneco is warm and inviting, fueled by friendly staff eager to guide diners through their menu, despite the language barrier some may encounter. This genuine hospitality enhances the experience, making it feel like a neighborhood haven for those new and familiar with Honduran food. Although the pricing may sometimes surprise, the value is undeniable, offering generous portions at accessible prices.

It’s a spot where each dish tells a story, inviting you to savor every bite and return for more.
“ I love coming here for breakfast. Their balledas are the best. Staff is super friendly and helpful. I get it with everything which is beans, cheese, eggs, bits of steak and a dash of sour cream. Beware it’s cash only. ”
“ Baleadas & pupusas are SOOOO GOOD. Affordable but just note that the menus aren’t up to date and some of the things are a dollar more than they are on the menu. Still priced well but they won’t tell you about the price increase before you order, esp if you don’t speak Spanish, so just beware!! ”
“ This an Honduran restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch and early dinner, the served typical Honduras food at a good price. They have Baleadas freshly made, their Carne Asada platter is delicious and big enough for two people, their food is from Central America so you know they have fried beans, tortillas, chimol (Pico de gallo). They also offer food to go and have a variety of different Hondurian food. They have table service but as in this type of restaurants, service is the minimum but the owner and girls are polite and attentive to clients. Prices are good and the food is really good, if you've never tried food from Honduras, go check them out, ask for a Baleada or Carne Asada and you'll thank me later. Just visited the restaurant, their Carne Asada and Baleadas are still delicious. ”
